such a quiet twilight standing along the edge of the shore, edge of the world
with the miserable waves tugging at my broken ankles, begging me to come home.
and you’re standing right next to me,
the legs of your ripped, faded jeans rolled up past your knees,
the most beautiful smile on your face.
and i think this is all i need.

wanted to take your hand and pull you along
out past the breaking waves and moon-jellyfish gleaming in the dark
where all the silence reigns. where all our dreams are born.

deep and one with the sea.
just sink below the surface, and you’ll understand what i mean by
‘just let it all go’

don’t hesitate.
