Daniel’s life was pretty screwed up. Lately, he’d been having feelings for his best friend, who was in love with her boyfriend. It wouldn’t have been that bad if it weren’t for his reputation as a man whore, someone who wasn’t supposed to fall for anyone—especially best friends. He was grateful that his other best friend kept him in check.

“Dude, you’ve been staring into space for like five minutes.”

His friend’s voice snapped him out of his reverie, as he mumbled,” Sorry. Just got a lot on my mind, you know.” Lucas was the one person that he told everything to, including about Kira.

Lucas squinted his dark eyes at him, shaking his half-empty glass of wine, the ice rattling loudly and he smiled.”Nah. I think we both know there’s only one person on your mind.”

He nodded; Lucas was right. She consumed all his thoughts everywhere and anywhere, and he let her.
