So here is one of my first stories. Bare with me because this is my first time using this site.

Complete summary:

Gynna, Sadye, and Brad – best friends since second grade. When Gynna disappears for a month from school (ruining her perfect attendance record), Sadye and Brad start questioning her perfect image. When she shows back to school, she is strangely followed by another boy. Could he be the cause of Gynna’s new behavior and the mysterious deaths?

JACK STUMBLED ACROSS the damp forest floor. The moonlight was barely any-thing. The cold air streaked through his hair as he ran. He had to run; run away from whatever was about to get him.

The hard rain was soaking him and his clothes, also making the ground muddy. He blinked the water out of his eyes. He couldn’t stop running; his legs took him as far as the New Orleans port. The boats were already to leave harbor, and Jack jumped to try and stow away from his stalker.

In mid-jump, cold, rock solid hands grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him back. He tried to scream but his voice was gone from panting too much. His eyes closed from bare exhaustion.

“Don’t worry, little boy,” a cool voice said from next to Jack’s ear. “It will only hurt for a second.”

The next moment, fire shot through Jack’s body and everything went deadly silent.
