Can’t Buy Me Love
“I’ll buy you a diamond ring, my friend, if it makes you feel alright”
I love him.
The realization hits me like a bullet, making my heart ricochet against my ribcage.
Here I stand in front of this enormous mansion with this equally enormous epiphany thundering out the presence of any other thoughts.
I love him.
How could I not have noticed before? How could I have missed something so huge when it was right in front of me the entire time?
His hand grasps my shoulder, and I twirl violently around to face him.
“Yes.” The stubble on his cheeks scrapes my palms as I bring my mouth up to collide with his. “Yes.”
His arms secure me to him and I lift my legs up to clasp them around his waist. His chuckle ripples against my lips, “Hold on, baby, you haven’t even seen the inside yet. Are you sure you want to do this?”
I nod enthusiastically, “Yes, show me what you’ve got.” I need to keep a cool head. I force myself to stop, pressing a final kiss to his jaw before he regretfully returns me to my feet.
“Let’s go, then.”
Author’s note: It’s short. Deal with it. If you like it, please let me know. If you hate it, please let me know. All I’m asking for is a little feedback, A.K.A. a review. It only takes a second of your time.
