Nine out of Ten

You tell me everything that's wrong,
I tell you I knew it all along.

When you're angry or upset,

I make sure you don't do something you regret.

The few times you're happy,
I force a smile no matter what's going on with me.

Together we rant and rave,

Our friendship sends out shock waves.

No one quite understands us,

You've never understood the fuss.

Nine times out of ten,

I'm less of a girl and more of a guy friend.

But when it comes to girlfriend advice,

You start treating me oh-so nice.

But some days don't work out so well,

When I ask what's wrong and you tell;

“The next girl I'm dating is going to be stress-free!”

Somewhere inside I'm wishing it was me.

The girl you describe sounds so familiar,

I want to scream out, You're talking to her!

If we talk about other topics,

Our whole routine clicks.

But when you talk about this girl you've yet to find?

I can't get it off my mind.

My thoughts center around you,

You message me out of the blue,

Talking about an ex who's still in the picture,

I ask why you still care for her.

You have nothing better than, “I just do.”

You're still my Forbidden You.

The only thoughts going through my mind are “I hope he never reads this.” and “Shit.”

Reviews? They might be my last, I can see Melbell killing me once she knows...
