Twisting, twirling, spinning,

Purple and blue and gray

The sky in winter

The sky over seas

The ribbons fell through the earth

Down, through the core

Through burning sand

Through burning land

Then, suddenly, they froze

Time stopped them and the world

Deep red dropped and splattered

Purple and blue and gray

And blood

And war
