Prologue: Stomach Problems

You know that feeling in your stomach. The one that feels like you just got punched in the stomach really hard and now it hurts like hell? Try taking that multiply it by twelve, add losing your best friend and finally add losing the only guy you really want.

That is my situation.

Over the course of six months I have managed to fall in love and out with the same boy, alienate myself from everyone around me, get knocked up, and loose my best friend.

"Slut." Jessica whispered in my ear as she walked past me. A group of her new minions were at her sides. Was it that easy to just forget me?

Alienated Person #1: Jessica Moore. My ex-best friend.

I made my way over to the punch bowl -- that I was certain was spiked knowing the miscreants that attended my school. I slugged over to the table, filling my plastic cup up to the brim. After drinking half of the spiked punch I was drunk. I felt vomit wiggling its way up my throat. This was the time of my life and instead of dancing with the guy I loved, I was holding back vomit.

I tripped around the corner to the living room. Once I regained my composure I locked eyes with a slightly looking concerned Jordan. I knew deep down inside he didn't care. I squeezed the plastic cup in my hand, then I guzzled the remaining amount down. I walked down the hallway in a blank daze. Two arms landed their hands on my shoulders. They spun me around to face them. It was Jordan.

"Hannah? Are you okay?" He asked, full concern taking over his voice.

"I thi-I-I-I-nnn-kkk I-I-I-I neeed a-nooo-ther d-r-r-r-innnkkk." I wave my cup around in his face.

"Hannah, seriously, what's the matter?" Jordan took me by the shoulders and sat me down on the couch. "I am seriously worried. Now, tell me, why are you drinking?"

"Why? Why not." I giggle. "Plus, it's not like you care."

"What are you talking about?" Jordan snapped, jolting up from the couch. "Of course I care about you."

"Well you sure show it in a shitty way." I choked back vomit.

"Ya know what? Forget you. I can't talk to you when you're like this! Before…before…I though I was over you," -- he pauses for a brief disappointed scoff -- "But know…I don't even know who you are." Jordan shook his head before rushing off.

This was what my life had been reduced down to, soaking up my sorrow in the bottom of a red plastic cup. I rested my head against the couch.

Alienated Person #2: Jordan Candles. The one person I didn't want to lose. It wouldn't matter if I lost everyone in my life, all I needed was Jordan. In the words of Juno Jordan Candles is "the cheese to my macaroni". But now all he is is gone.

I eventually made my way to the bathroom, after throwing up, I walked back into the living room for another drink. Instead I found Alex standing on the table, a drink in his hand. He looked over at me, smiling mischievous.

"Exactly six months ago, I met and fell in love with Hannah Rowe. She is the girl of my dreams." Alex announced. "And I would like to announce that as of last night," He stopped to tip his cup upwards. "That we have finally gone all the way!" A wave of realization flooded over me. Alex was lying. I dropped the drink in my hand. Jessica rushed up to me, slapping me clear across the face. She wanted him.

Six months ago, this wasn't my life. I didn't attend parties. I hung out with my friends and went online most of the time. That was when alienated person number two came in. And changed everything.
