I don't know whether this Writer's Block is really bad, or if I'm losing inspiration for this story. Either way, there'll be three more chapters (Including this and an epilogue), but they should be lengthy chapters.

Thanks to Beginning of Twilight (you changed your PenName again) and kati-ann for reviewing.

Chapter Six: Do I Love Her

Days passed, and Friday arrived since Mina had talked with Will, and she still could not forget what he had said. "It's true when they say one person can make a difference. The person who make a difference in Mark's life is you, Mina."

Mina had not seen Mark in the past few days until he showed up at her locker after school. "I heard the conversation between you and Will." he said as he stood by Mina.

"Do you always have to listen to my conversations?" Mina asked.

"I heard Will after school that day, and I knew you two would talk about me, so I went to the park and listened." Mark replied. Before Mina could say anything, Mark asked, "Do you have to be home at any certain time?"

Mina shook her head. "My dad's still on his business trip, and my mom's out of town. She won't be back until tomorrow afternoon." Mark nodded. "Do you really want to know everything of my past?" he asked.

Mina nodded. Mark sighed. "Alright, the lakes getting old for me telling you about my past. Can you come to my house?"

"Now?"

"I have to pick up my sister later, and you can come with, but that's not for over an hour." Mina nodded slightly and said, "Alright."

"My house isn't that far. Come on."

It had taken Mark and Mina at the most five minutes to walked to his house. As they walked by, Mark opened the mailbox and pulled out a rock, which contained the key to his house. "That's not the greatest place to put, you know." Mina said.

Mark shrugged. "We move it every time after we use it." he said and opened the door. He put the key back in and placed on the welcome mat outside the door. The two of them walked in, and Mark asked, "You want anything to drink?" Mina shook her head. "Alright, I'll be right back. Make yourself at home." he said and walked into the kitchen.

Mina walked around the living room, looking at the pictures on the walls. One of them showed Mark, a man to his right, a girl to his left, and a woman to her left, who Mina assumed to be his dad, sister, and mom. Mark looked exactly like a younger version of his father, and his sister looked like a younger version of his mother.

The other picture to catch Mina's eye showed Mark standing with another girl with short brown hair, with the lake behind them. Mina assumed the girl to be Kristen. Mark walked back into the living room with a bottle of water in his hand and sat down on a couch.

"Is that a picture of you and your family?" Mina asked, indicating the first picture. Mark nodded. "And that's you and-" Mark finished her sentence. "Kristen."

Mark sighed and said, "You said you wanted to know everything about my past. Where should I start?"

"When you met Kristen?" Mina suggested. Mark sighed and started to speak.

Mark sat in the corner of the room with Trey, Richard, Will, and Marissa as a girl walked into a room and asked. "Is this Room E27?" she asked. The teacher nodded and said, "You must be Kristen." She nodded. "There's a seat by Marissa." the teacher said pointing to Marissa. Kristen nodded and sat at the desk by Marissa.

"Hi, I'm Kristen." she said as she sat down.

"I'm Marissa. This is Trey, Richard, and Mark." Each of them nodded after she said their names. "Trey's annoying, Richard's quiet, and you don't want to make Mark angry, but he's actually a nice guy once you get to know him." Marissa whispered to Kristen.

"Our friendship grew out of that, and at first I felt a sense of attraction towards her, but I realized I was more comfortable just being friends with her, but as we entered the next year, that changed. I started to love her. Our friendship was a bit complicated, so I don't think I can explain it that well."

Mina nodded slightly. What he had just told her had added little to what she already knew. She glanced at the clock and saw that time had passed much faster than she expected, it was already three. "Shouldn't you be picking up your sister soon?" she asked. Mark looked at the clock and nodded.

Mark and Mina stepped out of Mark's car and walked over to the main entrance of the school.

"It was my dad's old car, and my mom hasn't been able to sell it yet. I only have a permit at the moment, but she lets me drive the car if I'm picking up my sister. Other than that, my mom usually has the keys, but I don't really care. It's not like I go anywhere anyway." Mark had told Mina on the way to Mary's school.

As kids began to walked out, Mina saw a girl with long black hair head over to Mark. "Mark!" she yelled as she walked towards them. He smiled briefly and headed towards his sister with Mina following.

When two of them got to Mary, she stayed closer Mark, almost avoiding Mina. "Sorry, Mary's a little shy. Mary this is my friend Mina." Mark said.

"Hi." Mary said softly to Mina. She smiled and said hi Mary.

The three of them walked back to Mark's/his dad's car, and Mark drove them home. As they neared the house, Mark saw Trey, Richard, Marissa, and Will standing at his door. Mark muttered something, but Mina didn't hear him.

The three of them got out of the car and headed towards Trey and the others. "So, any reason you four decided to show up at my house? You never come here." Mark said once they were close enough.

Will was the one to answer, "We need to talk," he looked at Mina, "Just the five of us. Sorry Mina." Mark sighed and said, "Alright, where?"

"Somewhere we be won't be overheard. You already know where." Will replied.

Mark groaned silently. That meant Trey's house. His parents were never home, and if they were then they would only be there for a couple of minutes. Mark understood why they chose Trey's house, but he never liked going there.

"Mina, could you look after Mary for me? This shouldn't take to long." Mina nodded, and the two of them walked inside. Once Mina and Mary were inside, the other five started to walked towards Trey's house.

"So what's this about?" Mark asked as they were walking. "Kristen, Mina, and you." Will replied. Mark didn't say another word until they got to Trey's house.

"We knew about you and Kristen." Marissa said as soon as the five of them entered. Mark didn't bother to pretend that he didn't even know what she was talking about. "How?" he asked.

"You didn't bother to close the door when you went in to talk to Kristen for the final time."

As Mark entered the room, he forgot to close the door. The four waiting outside the room didn't want to listen to their conversation because they knew if Kristen wanted to talk to Mark before she died, then they knew it was something personal, but yet they could here their whispers, even if they were unclear. Even though they could not hear most of it, they heard them say three things.

"Mark, I love you."

"Promise me you'll move on."

"I promise."

Mark sighed after they told him. "So, what is it you want to talk about?" he asked.

"You love Mina like you loved Kristen, don't you?" Will asked. Mark hesitated before he answered, "I don't know."

"You've only known her for about a month, so it's understandable as to why you're not sure." Richard said.

"Took you long enough to say something." Trey said to Richard.

"Shut up, you haven't said anything either until now."

Mark didn't bother to listen to those two, instead he was lost in thought. Without saying anything he walked out and headed back towards his house.

Do I love her?

It might seem that I ending this story short, but I'm running out of ideas for this. After I finish this, don't expect a multi-chapter story for a while. I might start writing oneshots every once in awhile though, or I might try continuing my fanfiction on fanfiction(dot.)net which has been on hiatus for nearly three months.
