I am transfixed

in the soft lullaby of her breathing.

I am burnt in the reflection

of the sun off her platinum hair.

I bleed as lipstick into her mouth

from that color of perfection she paints upon her lips.

I blind her as cobwebs

in those perfectly curled lashes.

I scuttle as spiders upon her skin.

I do not reflect inside her eyes

the way a sister is needed.

She is satin. I am rock.
