Before

Always relied, almost depended
Never wondered why, but how
Faithful, I was embarrassed
Puzzling me with your awareness
I brought in guilt, with realization
Thinking I could have done so much more
It’s the moment, where it starts to sink in
You were skinny and strung out,
She simply stared and then began the
Guilt trip – Remember the one you were
Before the shadows towered over you
