Fall Behind

Everyone is moving at the same pace

Side by side

All together

For the rest of our lives

But all of a sudden

They all start moving too fast

And I get left behind

Farther and farther

They all go away

I just fall behind

And am left here to stay

They are now out of sight

I can’t keep up with them

I stop moving

And just sit here

I am still alive

But it feels like I’ve died

To me time has stopped

Nothing happens

No one lives

But time hasn’t stopped

Everything is still going on

And everyone is living

Including me

But still

Even in knowing this

I still

Feel like I’m dead
