Falls from the sky

Refusing to comply

Slaps the ground

Shattering

Thunder and lightning followed soon

A blaze through the night

And a thought passed through my head

What a magnificent sight

A bolt of lightning

Strikes that tree

And an idea came to my mind

How wonderful to see

A flash of light

And a life is gone

And I stopped and pondered

This is all wrong

Broke first

Lost it’s form
