She was

A goddess-

Torn from her place

And thrown;

Alone, Lonely, Living

Tired,

Onto the island

That would be their story

You see, because

Then he came

He came

Drowning

Half gone

After as many years

As they would be together,

Belonging to someone else…

But she was so

Lonely

A nymph

Her beauty she gave to him

She

Held him while he was lost

And she was

A goddess

Again-

And then those years passed

And he left

Torn from her by the gods

The powerful arms

Carrying him so far

Until she couldn’t see him anymore

And she was alone

A goddess

No longer,

With just an island,

And an overflowing

Garden.
