I’m not brave
I’m not healing
And I don’t believe a word your saying

I think I’ll pretend I’m standing shy-
Stubborn and scorned
Outside your door

And you welcome me in
But I’ll stand there and cry-
You wave me in, in
Come in
You’ll say

But I’ll stand out in the cold
And let my angry breath kiss the air
It’s not fair
I was never brave
I never truly healed
And I don’t believe a word you’ve ever said
