Soda vs Pop

It’s Soda!

The carbonated drink drips down your throat and you smile at its goodness for you are drinking soda, or is it pop? I believe that I’ve been put on this earth to set this straight. It’s Soda because, well pop just sounds ridiculous! I mean the word soda just slides off of the tongue. Pop takes so much effort to say and it makes the lips sore. Seriously, try saying pop a million times. OW! On the other hand, sssooodddaaa. Yes, it sounds so refreshing. Then there’s POP! It’s sounds like a drug more than anything else. Now, I’m not the first one to say that soda is better than pop. S.E. Hinton in her novel, The Outsiders, took a bold step in exposing the truth that soda is better than pop. One of her characters is named Sodapop. Notice, soda comes before the pop making soda far more superior than pop. She didn’t name the guy Popsoda! If that there isn’t proof that it’s soda not pop, I don’t know what is!?
