This was one of those thoughts were you get a line stuck in your head - hysterical radical had a nice ring to it - and you have to write something to get rid of it. I like the result . . . do you? Please R&R. Thanks a bunch!

Hysterical Radical fleeing a crowd

On a sturdy and well-worn shoe.

Hysterical Radical leaving our town

Oh, what are we to do?

He captured our minds and tied up our hearts

And caught our attention too.

Hysterical Radical catching a ship

Across that yonder blue.

Now that the Hysterical Radical’s gone

We don’t know what is true.

We’d been abandoned — we listened to him

And now he’s abandoned us too.

If our Hysterical Radical goes on sabbatical

Apathy pierces us through;

For he cannot be master of our hearts and minds

Across the ocean blue.
