A poem for my 8th grade English class, and the closest thing I have to a will. laughs

In the Event of my Demise

In the event of my demise;

I wouldn’t want for you to cry.

I want you to remember with dry eyes,

All the cherished times we’ve had;

All the good, and all the bad.

Remember my voice with every sigh.

Remember my face as you look to the sky.

Don’t forget that I’m nearby;

An angel, to stand by your side,

As you live on in my place.

I will be your unearthly guide.

I do not love, I do not hate,

But my loyalty to you will never abate.

In return for the guidance that I give,

One pledge I beg for you to give.

The written words that came from my soul,

I want you to share them, with the world.

The adventures that came from my dreams;

The poems that fell from my tears.

I don’t want to be forgotten,

Because when you are forgotten, you really are dead.

In the event of my demise.

I'd like to know how many of you share this same view.
