"Isn't That The Way"

it started out a good day
it almost felt like christmas
you don't need to snort
this much excitement
to have a feeling as high as this

i am barely making it through street lights
i am choking on the vapors
struin from the plant down way by it's fans
i am an activist activating my rights
in knowing this is how much the government
holds our lives in it's hands

if life is a sexually transmitted disease
could you pass it?
could you pass it through?
could you pass it through my blood stream please?
isn't that the way it goes
forcing chaos onto one another?
calling out bluffs
on the most ridiculous stuff
bush making his own mistakes
then pointing fingers at others
