"Old Tune"

it's an old old old song
it's an old old tune
it's a fine fine fine mess
we've gotten into
it's a sorted love story
with no particular ending
it's a drunken sailors dream
to watch a ships mast
do this much bending

i learned much by example
with it being a closed door
i first learn to shut it tight
then i learn to strong fastly ignore
each sign
and each symptom
that creep into my awareness
for heaven's sake
it's thanksgiving break
let's show 'em that we're flawless

my heart is a moving muscle
it can break and bend and mold
it can see through the doors ripped screen
of the stories it's been told
and even though
i'm here in my prime
but feel i'm getting old
like it was
is how it is
and i can tell it like it is
does that mean i'm getting bold?
