"For All Of Those About To Go (Rise Above)" Poem

For all of those who’ve already gone
For all of those about to let go
Please stop a moment to think ‘for you go
Don’t leave and realize your gone

For all of those I’m loosing tonight
Please believe me that there’s better light
But if you can’t find it, try how you might
I’ll stay here, holding your hand through the night

For all of those who are trying to be
Everything they are when they can’t see
I’ll give you my eyes so that you can see
And then teach you how to be

For all of those I’m about to let go
Things will be much easier if I don’t tell you so
But I won’t leave if you don’t know
How much I love you
And how much I’d kill to have you and me start anew

For all of those who’ve forgotten my love
Please remember the purest white dove
How she always manages to fly above

For all of those I’m loosing today
For all of those I’ve lost today
If you don’t change your mind and want to stay
Just hold my hand tonight, and whisper “someday”
So that I will always know there is love
And I will always know that your life has risen above
