You were once that
Helpless kitten
Small and pink
Leaking and drooling obscenities from
Every orifice,
Wordless and toothless
Pushing slobber from
Those disgusting lips
Instead of lies
You were once that
Blind baby
Rolling your eyes
Away and then back to light
Crying when
It became too bright or
Your diaper was soiled
You were once that
Feeble thing
Curling your pathetic fingers around
Hair in hopes of
Sticking it in your repulsive maw
You were once that
Dribbling nuisance who
Would sleep all day only to
Wake up at 2 am and
Wail until your mother put
Her breast to your lips

Oh, how you haven’t changed.
