A/N: Okay, so i haven't updated in a while :( I had to gets some thoughts together for the direction i wanted the story to take. Right now, the story still is on hold so i can go back and do some editing it took a bad turn and i need some extra time getting it back together so everything past chapter nine has been taken downbecause i didn't really like them , but! I promise you'll be happy when i finally get to post the next chapter. Right now, i'm also working on 'Diagnosed With Love' (My new story), and 'True To Your Heart' they're both worth checking out and i've got a lot of favorites and story alerts for them -wink, wink- I hope you like them, and now that this has been one of my longest A/N's ever xD i'll leave you to read 'The Royal 'Legend'!

The Royal Legend: A Dimension Traveling Fairytale

Chapter 1: A Familiar Voice From Above

The girl known as Chieko was running through the forest as fast as she could. Although she was seven, she was not afraid of the forest even if it was dark out.

Chieko was a very small little girl with rose colored hair. Her hair was extremely long which flowed beyond her back. She had, had in tied up into two high pony tails still allowing her hair to flow down her back. Her eyes were also rose colored with a hint of red. Her clothes consisted of a summer dress that had rips and tears all over, liked she’d been through hell and back.

"Keep going!" A voice from above in the tree's said. It was soft and faint but it was definitely a man's voice. Well, a boy's. Anyhow it sounded a great deal like that of her brother Kouhakku’s voice and if it was him then it means that her sister Riiko was with him.

She could hear the sound of two bodies jumping from tree to tree. Quickly, yet lightly. She could hear every thing ...

It was one of her many talents she wish she didn't have. As she kept running she seen a log that she just couldn't avoid. Which left her tumbling and rolling in the dirt adding to the scratches and bruises she already had.

She tried a desperate attempt to once again rise to her feet, but failed and collapsed in her current spot on the ground. Two figures jumped from out the tree's and appeared before her.

Chieko: Brother Kouhakku ... and sister .... Rii

She managed to say before completely passing out. Kouhakku walked forward as the demon's behind Chieko approached.

Kouhakku was muscular and his armor shaped all his muscles perfectly. His hair was getting long from going so long without cutting it. It was now laying gently on his shoulders. His hair was caramel brown with black streaks. His eyes were determined, but each eye was a different color. He was different from most people, he had two eye colors. The right eye was blood red and the left eye was smoky black. He was normal height for his age and very powerful.

Kouhakku: Don't lay a finger on her!

He said seriously but very calmly, because he had a lot of confidence in his power.

Demon: And if we do?

Kouhakku: Keh! You'll have to answer to me!

The Demon laughed hysterically.

Demon: Your just a half demon nothing to fear

Kouhakku: Is that so, well half is all I need to beat the living day light's out of you weaklings!

Demon: Is that a threat?!

Kouhakku: Keh!

Demon: Then you wouldn't mind proving that little theory, now would you kid?

The Demon was big and bulky. Some were small and some were larger than others. They all had the same ugly look. The same ugly horns coming out of their foreheads and those acid dripping teeth that wanted to rip them apart. They had claws like nails and chests that looked as hard as rocks.

Kouhakku: Riiko, take Chieko and get out of here, make sure she stays safe, .... and be careful.

Riiko: What about you?

Riiko managed to say as she was putting Chieko on her back.

Kouhakku: Keh! Like these annoying little weaklings could bring me down, anyhow Chieko's survival is more

important right now ... so get out of here! It's nothing me and Tenjo can't handle

Kouhakku was referring to his sword. It meant everything to him, very rarely did he fight without it. The sword did not make his skills but it did increase them. It made him more confident and it was like his best friend.

Riiko: Okay, I'm off. And be careful.

Kouhakku: Keh! Yeah whatever!

Riiko took off at an incredible speed. You could have sworn that she was the wind, or something similar to that. At any rate Riiko believed in her brother and she knew that he would be fine. Meanwhile, Kouhakku was waiting for the demon's to attack.

Demon: What's the matter boy, to scared to attack?

Kouhakku: Fine then I guess I'll take the first move!

Kouhakku jumped into mid air, taking out his sword and released an attack that couldn't be avoided in anyway.

Kouhakku: Tenjo-Shin-Juu! Fire!

More than half of the demon's were sliced in half and soon after burned by the after flame of Kouhakku's Tenjo attack. Landing on his feet, his back faced the demon's, slowly turning around with his sword over his shoulder, Kouhakku spoke.

Kouhakku: Those who are not prepared to die should not attack, Those who attack should be prepared to die. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Let it be known ... I ... Kouhakku Minnamotto ... show no mercy.

The Demon's that were left slowly backed away from the young boy who was still holding his sword.

Kouhakku: Keh!, you’re not worth my time!

Kouhakku took his sword from it's from it's current position on his shoulder and put it back in it's sheath. He slowly walked off in the opposite direction that demon's were standing. The demon's behind him took a run for it.

Kouhakku: Amateurs
