when i only end up whispering
sonnets in your sleep
and only hope that you
will dream of me, too

let's spell our names in the sand
and tell the stars our secrets,
sealing them with a kiss

how can i define you?

when i fervently wish i was your heartbeat,
the only thing that keeps the both of us alive

let's stare at the moon
and request that your lips will eclipse to mine

how can i define you?

when between black and white
are empty spaces shaded with grey promises

how i wish i could glimpse even
just a silhouette
of your shadow

how can i define us?

when you and me only equates to nothing
more but a mere reflection of what we used to be
