There is a lot that I can say about you

But no matter what I say

No words can compare

To how truly special and wonderful you are

You are my ecstasy

You are my saviour

You are my chocolate

You are my happy thought

You are my reason to live

You are my reason to laugh

You are my reason to believe in good things

To believe in good people

To believe in something for a change

For all my life I was never given anything to believe in

For in my life

I was taught to cower and hide

To try and avoid the hurt and pain

That came from my parents yelling at me

Belittling me

Praising my sister for the most obscure of things

But you are helping me through

You are giving me belief to live again

Not to cease to exist and wait for the end to come

When many a times I considered

Taking my own life

You saved me from myself

From making that mistake

Showing me love

When at a time I thought I could never be loved

You changed my views

The day you said a simple hi

And that simple word has stuck with me this far

Giving me the strength to continue on

To continue on to my next greatest obstacle

When I will leave you forever

But I know that I will not be gone forever

Because this is not just a simple goodbye

This is so much more!

This is me, saying thanks to you

Because without you

I never would’ve learned the beauty of the world around me

And if I had never seen the beauty around me
