A.N.: I wrote this a long time ago and until now it was on my DA, so now I edit it a little and I thought why not post it here.
Illusion
She stood at the edge of the building looking down into the emptiness. There was no ground visible, no brown or green patches in the distance, just grey clouds and mist swirling in the air below.
Emptiness.
In this moment she wished for it, for the hollow feeling of nothingness to replace the tumult of emotions which whirled inside. Love, hate, joy, sadness, anger all mixed together they hurt, hurt her soul, her mind and making her body weak.
She tried to shout in the despair but her opened mouth made no sound. She tried to cry but there were no tears in her eyes, just spasms came and violently shook her fragile body.
She waited for them to end then stepped on the verge of the edge and expanded her hands in the air. With her eyes closed she bent her body forward waiting for the feeling of falling.
Without the solid support under her feet she started to float slowly in the fog of emptiness.
In Emptiness, which embraced her, which wrapped her up and made her empty inside just the way she wanted.
No love. No hate. No joy. No Sadness. No anger. Empty. Hollow.
No more feelings in her and no more her essence, which made her HER. She existed just as an empty body floating in the air, nothing more. Just the way she wanted.
The eternity passed.
The empty shell was still hovering in the grey fog, her shape shimmering in the mist, like a shining object is glistening under the water.
The greedy hands noticed that glimmer. They reached out for it, for the glister in the fog.
Those cold, harsh hands grasped for her, seize her, and woke her up from her trance, hurting her, making her body bleed. Made for her eyes to open wide in pain, made the cries to come from her mouth.
She swirled in the air, tried to get away from their reach.
In vain.
They held her in tight grip, clawed at her, making bruises and cuts on her skin.
The bright hot ray of light struck her, made her back to bent, forcing those hands to back off, to release their grip on her.
She floated in the air upward, the light that become brighter lifting her up, the heat of it suffocating her.
Then the burning sensation struck at her again, returning all the feelings she used to have inside her, the intension of it leaving her limp and panting for air.
Her weak body was slowly lowered down in warm arms, which wrapped her in hug, tenderly squeezing her in the warm embrace.
The soft voice whispered in her ear: “I missed you.”
She wept.
