I should be in History class right now... but instead I'm letting my mind wander away with me...

A Pale Jewel

By: Chi Yagami

A pale jewel

Where? There…

Between the pieces of my broken heart

Climbing the stairs

So many stairs

Ivory railing, marble steps

Where it ends I never know

Climbing, climbing

Higher and higher I go

Into the labyrinth of my broken heart

Sinking, falling under

A wave of dark sapphire like the

Door that was closed on me

Missing myself, lost within

Where is the way out?

Down the hall once more

Portraits of my former hearts

Hang in ivory frames

Shattered by the pieces of my broken heart

So many pieces, where is each one?

Tumbling down the stairs

Gone and lost forever

Smaller and smaller until no more they become

Each time someone breaks

The pieces of my broken heart

I rather liked it...
