What do you like in a guy? They always ask the same question.

Brown hair, I tell them in a quiet voice. Not too short, not too long; kind of shaggy.

They coo. Go on, go on! They beg.

Hmm... Blue eyes. Ice - no, sky blue.

What else?

I hum, collecting my thoughts. He's gotta be sweet. Charming. But not like a Prince. Charming like an innocent child who doesn't know any better. Oh, and he has to be able to make me laugh and smile, even when I don't want to.

Maybe, I think to myself, he'll like the wild, wild west, too. And on days when he's feeling particularly childish, he'll whip out an old cap-gun and tell me to reach for the sky... And when he feels like being serious, he'll sit with me by the window or outside on the front stoop and we'll watch the world go by...
