If I was left nowhere to hide?

If my life was rearranged?

What would I do if her face was gone?

If her eyes forever closed?

If her warm-cold hands were withdrawn?

If I was left exposed?

How would I break the horrid news?

Who would I tell my pain?

Would I turn to fiction, friends, or booze?

Would my love now be in vain?

What is thought that you think?

As you loved one struggles on the brink?

And how do you let that cruel ship sink?
