Maybe I'm just a chemical reaction.
No feelings, not thoughts.
I'm just a chemical reaction,
My life predetermined by electrons,
Such small movements,
So much sway,
Such big thoughts.
I can't be just a chemical reaction,
I have a spirit, a soul.
I make choices, decisions of my own.
No subatomic particle could have that much impact on me.
I refuse.
I protest.
But I'm just a chemical reaction.
A rearranging of atoms can turn my love to hate.
So harsh, I know,
But don't blame me.
