The New Years’ Song

The New Years’ Song

It is a new year, a new year, a new year.
I’ve got everything I want, I made my resolutions.
I swear this year will change it all.
Does it matter to anyone?
Does it matter to anyone…

Chorus: Oh, make my life complete, I will.
Here’s what I am going to do.
Oh, no more worrying about the world and what they think.
I swear that I won’t fall in love without the exchanged feeling.
Whatever more I try to do, I resolve it to be my all.
No more speeding through.
I came here to do what I want, and what I’ve gotta do.

Give me a break, they say.
You’re gonna break just about everything you said.
I’m known to do that yearly.
But this time I think I’ve got a hold.
Do I really need to do what I’m told?
No, I don’t always think so.

chorus

Maybe this year I will plan.
Each and everyday, from life I’ve always ran away.
This time I promise I’ll be good.
For now, I won’t let anything get to me.
