Liar

Cloudy skies grace the day,

But do not compare to the ones on your face.

A well timed nod,

A carefully interjected laugh,

Most can’t tell,

What has happened.

But a sudden blank stare tips me off,

And before you can disappear,

I’m there.

Tapping on your shoulder.

“What’s wrong?’

Before I can blink,

It’s gone.

Covered up.

You cheerful smile is back,

“Nothing’s wrong.”

It really takes a lot-

Not calling you a liar.
