Broken Glass

Piano playing in the background along with the soft ticking of a clock, young girl sits chained to the floor sitting under a stain glass window staring up at the window and smashes her fists against the glass of the window, glass falls to the floor, palms and fingers bloody, stares in horror when bars show through the broken glass stopping her escape. Looks over her shoulder in horror when the piano stops, looks to the glass blood dripping everywhere.

Verse1: Broken Glass

Shattered Glass,

My reflection shines through

Against the light of the moon

Your chains,

Crushing everything

I was ever told.

The window,

The bars,

My barriers

My freedom

From you

Something that can

Only

Be dreamt

Forgive me

It was an accident,

I remember

Remember when I saw you

Tipped your hat

Said hello

Told me I was beautiful

Yours in an instant

Can’t forget

The warnings they told

Can’t forget,

Your eyes

So cold

Brought me here

Tied me down

Chained me to the wall

Broken tears,

Shattered life

Just like the glass

Can’t forget all the lies!

Day in

Day out

Sun up

Sun down

Every day your harsh words

Your harsh touch

Forgiven by my love

Broken Glass

Broken window,

My bars above,

Let me see

The moon one last time

Drops of Blood

In my eyes

The blood

Falling from my hands

Like falling roses

From the sky

Broken glass,

Shattered glass,

Blood spilling on the glass

Like rain

I can’t forget the chains

Given to me by you!

You hold me close

You tell me you love me

But you cut my skin

Tell me your lies

Weave your webs

In my mind

Broken Glass,

Shattered Glass

I take a piece

In my hand

A weapon

Do I dare?

No no I can’t

All I can do is plead

Forgive me.

Broken Glass

Shattered Glass

Tears of blood

Down my face

The shadows

They breathe down

My neck

Your steps

Their coming

The glass is gleaming

My face broken among the pieces

A man appears in the doorway behind her, seeming calm with fierce eyes.

Tears of blood

Drip on my dress

You hand

On my cheek

Kneels next to her and whispers the chorus into her ear.

Chorus: Don’t cry now

Don’t cry now

Broken Glass

Broken Glass

She pulls away from his touch and starts to tell him off.

Verse2: Don’t see me

Don’t touch me

Why don’t you

Bleed for once?

Cut your skin

Tell your lies

Why don’t you use

Your broken glass?!

Tell me

You love me

Set me free

Tell me

You hate me

SET ME FREE!

You cut my skin

You tell me your lies

Chorus: Broken Glass,

Shattered Glass,

Broken heart,

Shattered heart

Verse3: LET ME GO NOW!!

Pull me,

Hurt me,

You do it anyway!

Broken Glass,

Shattered Glass,

My reflection shinning through,

This is the end!

LET ME BREAK THROUGH!!

The man is sick of this and backhands her throwing her against the wall, close up of her crystal blue eyes staring into camera as the last words are sung, the reflection of the glass in her eyes, the glass reflects her eyes, back and forth .

Shinning Glass,

Broken Glass,

Shattered Glass,

END
