I lay there, shuddering, shaking in fear. I see my blood run over the pavement to mingle with the pure white snow. I watch in sorrow as the snow turns pink, my own blood desecrating the purity of nature. I gasp of pain escapes my lips as another wave of pain spreads through out my body.

The edges of my eyes start to darken, as I try to move. Letting my head fall back down, I replay the scene that happened only a few minutes ago.

Flashback

His lips are soft against my neck. I realize with a shudder that he is kissing it. Then, excruciating pain.

I become dimly aware that he bit me, with some sort of inserts. But, then the fire in my veins started.

Writhing in pain, he drops me where I stand, letting me fall to the ground. I can feel my blood pumping out of my body, onto the ground in a puddle beneath me.

Pity, that was good blood. No use crying over it now, though.” He whispered before he ran off at an amazing pace.

End flashback

Coughing, I roll over onto my stomach, in hopes that I can get up. The pain doubles as I struggle to my feet. My triumph is short lived, for I fall back to the ground. I vaguely hear footsteps behind me. My attacker must be back to finish me.

A hand is put on my side, and a kind voice asks me a question. “Did he bite you?”

I manage a nod, but that is all I can do. I hear the person sigh, then I smell something.

A wrist is put up to my lips, along with the words, “Drink.”

I drank whatever it was that was coming out of his wrist, feeling it burn as it goes down my throat. As the liquid goes down, I feel stronger and the pain gradually leaves. When the last drop of it is gone, the wrist is taken away.

“My thanks,” I manage to say. I inwardly wince at my comment. Why couldn’t I just have said thanks? I swear, I should stop reading so much.

“Can you stand?” I finally realize that my savior is a male.

I get up quickly, swaying a little. I automatically reach for my bags, slinging one over my shoulder. He takes the other one from my hand, then grabs onto my elbow.

I let him lead me town the path, too tired and disoriented to make my own decisions. How long we walk, I do not know, but we eventually come to a stop. Looking ahead, I try to see where we have arrived at. As my eyes strain to see through the darkness, I collapse, complete darkness taking my eyes.

AN: Sorry these have been so short so far. I'll try to make the next few longer.
