A/N: Hey!! I think this is the second poem i wrote with no rhymes...I hope you enjoy it!!

Running, running, running

He runs away from something

He runs toward something

He runs as fast as far as his tired body will let him

Running, running, running

Clear silver sweat runs down his dark face

Falling off his chin

Onto the cold sinister ground

Why does he run so much?

Why does he run away?

He wants to get away.

He runs more and more

His heart bangs against his chest

His long legs scream for rest

His breath is ragged and exhausted

He struggles to inhale precious oxygen

But he keeps running

Running under the night sky

A sky filled with sparkling stars

And a bright crescent moon

He runs from darkness

The darkness that tries to consume him

Eats away at him, killing him

Slowly, surely, and painfully

He tried to embrace the darkness

Partake in it’s utter beauty

A false beauty, a beauty that lies

A beauty that only hurts him

He enjoyed the darkness

For one hour, one minute, one second

The darkness made him suffer

For one day, one month, one year

It wasn’t worth it

He couldn’t take it

Pressures upon pressures

Soon death seemed satisfactory

So he ran

He ran away from the darkness

Trying to escape its deathly grip on his neck

And voices that flooded his mind

He runs toward the light

He seeks sanctuary from the light

Eager hands await him

Warm arms welcome him

He embraces the light and he’s content

Until the darkness pokes and entices him

And whispers all sorts o pleasantries in his ear

And slowly pulls him away from the light

He seeks the light, he wants the light

But darkness stops him from becoming fully emerged in it

He’s like the moon, and even the moon has a dark side

He’s completely light, but it seems to last for one night only

So he settles for grey

The lightest grey he could possibly be

Darkness stops him from being true light

But he fights to be as close to light as possible

The darkness will always be there

But so will the light

Darkness will always hurt him

But light will always soothe him

Finally, he stops and slowly lifts his hand

His world is devoured in darkness

Darkness wants him, tries to enslave him

But he resists and he’ll always resist

He sees a small drop of light, which lights up this sinister world

He wants it, but he needs to reach in order to obtain it

So he reaches and reaches and he’ll keep reaching

Until the light finally comes toward him and takes him home.
