I heard You call, I heard You knock;
"Fly with me," it came as a shock.
But You were so clear, and it felt so real,
That state of peace, I can still feel.
So I decided to follow You,
Up in heaven I'd have a better view.
Left my things, climbed into the plane;
The world was darkened by English rain.
I waited in the aircraft, which was still;
Could this be a lie? I felt a chill.
Growing impatient, becoming unsure.
You promised eternity, You promised more!
Then the world shifted, and so we moved.
Jesus was the flight, my heart is the proof.
Running faster, we left the ground;
All flashing by, faster that sound.
The Earth looked unearthly, I felt the heavenly joy.
Lakes lay like mirrors, houses small as toys.
Higher and higher still, now we flew in clouds.
All white and misty, but I was alive and proud.
For nothing could sway Jesus my Lord,
His hands were warm His shoulders broad.
We covercame the clouds and watched from above -
Merely condensed air, conquered by love.
Light was bright and holy, I counted up the rays;
Ninety-nine altogether, till the end of my days.
How should I put this? I just love You so;
But Your love for me started long ago.
And now indeed, my pain is lessened;
For above the cloud, there's no rain in heaven.
