I lack the motivation

To live completely for you.

I'm lazy, taking shortcuts.

Wide eyes drawn over mine that are shut.

But you've gotta admit

I've had you fooled

I've played the part

memorized the motions.

Yet my heart's been sleeping

I can't seem to get it started

I can trade you these masks

If you will just take me back.

I've gotta admit

You can't be fooled.

I played the part

You looked past, at my heart.

Revealed are chains

That keep it prisoner

You hold the key

And wait on me.

Take my masks (a chain falls off)

Take my pride (a chain falls off)

Take my lusts (a chain falls off)

No more chains, Lord set me free.

Take my doubts (a chain falls off)

Take my slander(a chain falls off)

Take my envies (a chain falls off)

Break these chains, Lord set me free.

Take my name (a chain falls off)

Take my future (a chain falls off)

Take my past (a chain falls off)

Lord, I feel this weight is lifting

Take my worries (a chain falls off)

Take my shame (a chain falls off)

Take my struggles (a chain falls off)

I surrender all to you!

Awaken, heart! Awake!

Jesus now resides in you!

Awaken, church! Awake!

Don't be caught alive, but sleeping.
