"Goodbye," she said.
This girl I once loved,
now a woman
defect in her love for me.

I'm drifting, elsewhere,
unsure of where I'll end up -
on this poorly constructed raft
I call my sanity.

It's promising, yes, but a mess.
I can't seem to figure up from down.
I'm chained up, in a box, concealed
and unable to see where this tunnel is leading.

"Hello," she says.
This girl I now adore,
a beautiful woman
perfect in her innocence.

I'm drifting, somewhere,
unsure of where I'll end up -
on this poorly constructed raft
I call fate.

I promise myself it won't be a mess.
I'll figure out which way to turn.
I'll unlock my chains, break open this box,
and see where this tunnel is leading.
