Like a child, am I

who, when only just bathed

runs out to play in the mud

getting filthy with sin once more.

Lord, you're the constant supply of life,

so to you I run.

To whom else can I go?

No one knows and loves me deeper than you!

So here I am again,

covered in mud,

yet you still wrap your arms around me

and weep with me.

you draw up some water for a nice hot bath.

Cleanse me from all of this filth

Make me new again, spotless and pure

With clean hands I worship now,

my pure heart shouts praises!
