Dani and Xu hurried down the stairs towards the entrance they had come in through. Ghiaccio and Loki were already standing there talking abut what they were going to do.

"Derek and Jasmine are upstairs with Taka." Loki said without waiting for them to ask. "Alucard is in that room with Tilly." He added pointing to the door to the right of the stairs. "We need to see how many there are and how many will need treatment before we can do anything. Then we can see how many people we have to feed. Besides we won't be able to gather enough food with just us anyway." Loki painted a grim picture. His voice betrayed how unenthusiastic he was about all of these people arriving.

"We could use any that are fit enough to help us hunt I suppose." Ghiaccio added. His attention was only half in the conversation the other half was focused on the door. The voices inside had got louder inside, though he still couldn't make out what was being said. Xu understood what he was doing and slapped his arm.

"It's not nice to try and listen to other people's conversations." She scolded him, amused.

"It's ok I can't understand what their saying anyway." Ghiaccio smiled, coming back to the conversation.

"SON OF A BITCH!!!!" They heard Alucard shout over their own voices.

"Ok that I understood." Ghiaccio said half joking, half concerned he took a couple of steps towards the door before it was slammed open and Alucard stormed out and headed up the stairs without acknowledging their presence. There was no sign of the happiness he had shown earlier on his face.

Xu and Loki caught each others eye. Both were thinking the same thing. They headed for the room with Xu and Dani leading them. Tristeza sat on a medical bed with a small mirror in her hand. There was a tear running down her right cheek and a small trickle of blood on her left. Xu sat down next to her and put her arm around her. She tore a small piece of cloth off the corner of the bed cover and wiped the blood away from her face.

"Are you ok?" she asked. Her voice was comforting. In all the time she had known her she had never seen Tristeza so vulnerable.

"I'm fine, I think I'm just in shock." Her voice was small now, all of the confidence that she had had seemed to have been lost. Her hair had been pulled back away from her face so that Loki and Derek could give her the treatment she needed. However it also showed everyone else the extent of her injuries. Xu stroked her face gently; she was badly bruised around her missing eye. There were also a few small cuts on her face.

"What happened?" Xu asked gently "Why did Alucard storm off like that?"

Tristeza sat quietly for a few seconds to calm herself; she sniffed as she started to recount the story again.
