Who Knew?

I have not cried like that in so long.

Everyone needs me to be strong.

I'm that girl you show the bright red wounds,

Cry while I tell you things will get better soon.

You don't notice I might need it too,

Just because I won't show it like you do.

Sometimes even so-strong me,

Needs someone to talk to honestly.

And I absolutely hate,

That when I need to talk I look out-of-state,

At people I've never even met,

If I just want to forget.

I'm that girl that handles your problems with grace and ease,

Talk like I have an expertise,

Forget that I've never dealt with half of this,

I'm not allowed to be remiss.

I'll say exactly what to do,

About something I've never been through.

You believe every word I say,

Things have always been this way.

I'm that girl that deals with others problems instead of her own,

Whether it's school, boys, or at home.

Give me anything and I'll handle it,

But if it's my problem I have to quit.

I try going to you for advice,

But you complain about yourself all night.

Leave me with people I hardly even know,

You say I'm being reckless but I have no where else to go!

I'm that girl that won't say a word,

When you say something totally absurd.

You don't even notice what you said was insulting,

As you mutter on about nothing.

I'll nod and smile,

Let you continue on for a while.

I'm that girl who listens without fail,

While you tell the latest tale,

Hidden tears behind my eyes,

You'll never see past my innocent guise.

I'm that girl that ignores herself for you,

I'm that girl that never knows what to do.

But I'm the girl you always go to...

Who Knew?

Oh boy. I can see this being potentially bad. Review anyway?
