A/N- I’m going to start using a long chain of … to break the stanzas so you can tell where one begins and another ends.

Juliet’s Folly

Romeo, you idiot, I was not dead

when you found me upon that stone bed.

Imagine my shock when I awake to see

your lovely dead eyes staring back at me.

Couldn’t you have taken a moment to be sad

before taking that poison that must’ve tasted so bad?

…………………

Of course I am sad, but I’m not as stupid, you see.

However, I must make a showing for the honor of me.

“O happy dagger” to make its way,

to plunge deep within me to stay.

I don’t really intend to strike myself dead for the world to see, wide.

Plunge. Oops, I thought the dagger ‘twas still sheathed inside.
