Let the midnights roll,
Let the lies be told,
Let the blood begin to fall,
Let the worthless crawl.
As one midnight tolls,
And one flame ignites,
As the skies crumble,
Releasing all their lights,
As twilights end,
And dawns die,
As dusks vanish,
And the sun can’t cry,
When the trees all shrivel,
And the oceans begin to rage,
When all the bricks begin to crack,
And mortals shake the bars to their cage,
When mirrors shatter,
And promises decay,
When kisses are bitter,
And flowers are gray,
When the clocks all halt,
And as the music shrills,
The poets stop speaking,
And the world stills,
When the streets are silenced,
When the world is set free,
When it looses all roots,
What will there be to see?
So, if the stones begin to sing,
And if gods repaint our skies,
If the streets throw us rainbows,
It’ll mean the end of our lives.
Let the midnights roll,
Let the lies be told,
Let the blood begin to fall,
Let the worthless crawl.
