First glance: Do I matter?

They just don’t know what to say.

You see, it’s normal to think that nobody wants you around.

Beat you up, curse you out, trying to bring you down.

Hypnotizing, criticizing, trying to ruin your being.

They just can’t show that they care; what do you think you’re seeing?

Have you cut and choked yourself until you finally screamed?

Let me help through all of it, I swear I’ll pray and I’ll listen.

And you’ll one day realize that it’s ok to be different
