A.N.: Just something. It’s meant to be a parody/humour but will see how it goes, it’s a first draft (like all of my multi-chaptered stories). And I have to admit writing in the first person isn’t really my thing. I suspect that my tenses will be all mixed up, it so much easier to write in the third person (for me), but… this bunny demanded a first person, so I obliged, what else could I do… you know those bunnies… know how they are…those beasts.

We are angels – I. chapter

I'm sitting on the whitest, the fluffiest cloud my lovely bottom could find. I have very sensitive skin and to preserve it milky, silken texture one must take a little pain, like the one of finding the most gentle cloud and then attached on the white silken ribbon on one side and wrapped around my wrist on the other side, pulling it behind me where ever I go until its foggy threads dissolves and leave only the white long ribbon trailing behind me and a need to go and hunt for a new cloud.

I was thinking about making the cloud-mobile, that would be fun, but still didn’t figured out how to fix that dissolving part. Annoying really. Especially when nobody wants to help me, not even Tomi, my soul mate. Damn him.

His name isn’t really Tomi, he has that long exotic name that’s starts with To, so I just call him Tomi and he’s fine with it. Maybe because I let him call me Bee and my name doesn’t even start with Be, actually my name is or maybe I should say was Elizabeth. So why does he call me Bee? He says that because I can be annoyed as a Bee, but he doesn’t say that a lot of times. The wing slap I gave him when he says that is probably the reason for that. If you aim right and use a right angle those feathers can hit pretty hard and I perfected the technique, can make a storm with them. And Tomi? Tomi couldn’t even kill the fly with them, not that we Angels could kill things. A offence like that could turn you in to the little devil or faun, with little horns on the forehead and long arrow pointed tail, which I would be fine with, but those claws, those hoof. No. No. I don’t think so.

So… I’m sitting on the whitest, the fluffiest cloud. My feet are dangling in the air, I’m bored to death, waiting for Tomi to appear and talking to myself. Again.

There’s Tomi.

He is flapping with his little white-feathered wings like man possessed, the edges of light tunic he’s wearing over his favourite washed out jeans are waving in the air. He’s coming closer.

He’s almost here.

I lick my lips. He looks good, really good. With his a little over his ears long black hair, tussled because of his fingers who are always going through them, with his high cheekbones and big dark like a hot chocolate brown eyes and a toned body he always looks good. To bad Angels can’t… cough, cough or at least I could met him in my earth life… but no, it just wasn’t meant to be.

I smiled. Showing him a row of white, slightly crocked teeth and he smiled back, a row of perfect teeth and sat down beside me and, pressed a sloppy kiss on my cheek in greeting.

“So?” I wiped the wetness that he left on my cheek with the back of my hand. I swear he is doing this on purpose.

He grinned at me and waited until I became impatient. “So? What was so urgent?”

“I got a job!”

“You got a job!” I jumped in the air and threw myself around his neck, my small wings flapping. “I’m so glad. Your first real job.”

“Yea.” His eyes are shining and his face is like sunshine.

He is like that, like sunshine to people, to angels, I have even seen fauns bathing in his light. He always wants to help, to please and to put light in people’s lives.

“So what do you have?” I sat back down, snuggling close to him.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and then with his hands before us formed a rectangle. The display appeared between his fingers and after he removed his hands the display grew.

Tomi’s finger with a poke stopped the display and soon after that we saw a man assumingly doing his daily routine.

“He looks sad.”

“I think he’s lonely,” Tomi said. “His guardian angel is going into retirement and until they find somebody permanent to take over, we got him.”

“We? I don’t remember consenting on anything like that.” I narrowed my eyes and looked at him. They know pretty well that I’m not willing to take care of anybody and that for that We Tomi must have had his fingers in it.

“C’mon Bee. It would be fun. I’ll do all the work, even the paper work and you know how I hate it. I promise. I really want to have a charge and without you they don’t want to give me one.”

“Tomi please. Don’t make me do it.”

“Bee. C’mon.” Tomi’s hand pulled me closer to him. “If you want me to beg, I will.”

I rolled my eyes. Why can I never say no to him. And they know that, bastards, using him like that. “They are using you, you know that.”

“I know. And I don’t care. I just want to help, to change somebody’s life on the better.” He pressed a kiss on my head. “And we can do that. Together.”

“Ok,” I mumbled into his shirt.

“Huh?”

“Ok.”

He lifted us up, his wings flapping like crazy and spun us around, making my overdress to dance. “You won’t regret it. I promise.”

“Yeah right.”

He calmed down and put me down, still holding me. “I love you.”

“I know. I love you too.” I flapped my wings to lift myself higher and I pressed a chaste kiss on his lips. “When do we start?”

“Now.”

“Now? Now? Are you crazy? I have to pack. Make myself a stock of clouds.” I slipped out of his embrace, not knowing which way to turn. “So much to do and so little time.”

Tomi laughed.
