Quiet Beach

by Raely Qiu

The wind moves by

It's calm yet fierce

The wind is my ally

Pushing me along

The pushes the waves

They seem so strong

I could be here many days

The wind is not wrong

The sand is cool

Beneath my feet

Peace here, that's my only rule

Tan ask skin

Small as rice

When it's cold

It feels like ice

Sand is nice

The water splash

The fierce tide

My joyful bash

Yet I don't slide

The sun rises

It warms me up

It warms the water up

The beach is quiet

'Till people come

And litter all over

It ruins the moment

Of the calm

Sweeping over me

It gets distracting

It gets loud

People have no

Consideration

For the calm

The peace

The quiet

It is not the same

So I go

And leave the quiet beach

For now it isn't

The quiet beach

But the loud one

Maybe if I come back tomorrow

It won't be so cluttered

And loud

And distracting

Maybe the cycle will co on, and on

Maybe if I let go

I'll be OK.

But

What

Will

Be

Of

The

Quiet

Beach?
