Forgotten

By: Alexander Rivera

The door closes
shutting out all light
and any hope of salvation
The clinking of chains resounds
in this darkened chamber
I want to scream
but I have no voice
My eyes wide open
I'm frozen
I hear a laugh
a deep voice full of venom
Hot breath on the back the of my neck
I fall to the ground crushed under their weight
"Oh God help me"
My mind screams
my mind is reeling with disbelief
My demon laughs
"God can't help you now you’re ours now"
His laughter echoes off the walls
As I’m dragged away
Unseen
Unheard
Forgotten
