So the love of my life has left me
And the guy who can make me laugh, leaves
I'm alive but I am not breathing
But today I write about something different, completely

I have so many things to look forward to
I can live a grand life without love
I have friends and two jobs, my hobbies and my dog
Him leaving should have never of phased me

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade
Kill two birds with one stone
So I'll take out my sadness and anger inside
With the joy of me moving on

I love to play sports and to write and to sing
I love to sleep-in all the day
I don't need to love another of mankind
Just to dance in the rain

This smile on my face doesn't belong to him either
Only my heart, he has entrapped
But who needs a heart when I have a flute
Able to play away all the pain?

So I don't let my lonliness control me inside
I get out there and smell the flowers
Though life without him is a tad bit difficult
I don't need him, because I've moved on
