Author's Note: This was originally a song for a story I'm in the process of writing, but I thought it works well as a poem, too.

Who needs Heaven when you can have Nirvana
Who needs Heaven when you can just fade away
My candle is blowing out, I'm nearing my own extinction,
Who needs heaven when you can just disappear?

I wanna be released,
released from this on going hell
Eternity never ends, neither does this life
I've had enough, the fear is gone
I can see Nirvana and boy does it look good

Who needs Heaven when you can have Nirvana
Who needs heaven when you can just fade away
My candle is blowing out I'm nearing my own extinction
Who needs heaven when you can just disappear

My candle is flickering,
here comes the breeze
My candle starts a wild dance
Here comes the wind
The tornado's in sight

My candle is blowing out, my extinction is here
Who needs heaven when you can just disappear?
