Bird In Snow

Flying through the misty morning
With wings whiter than the white
It twists around as death it bites
And the bird falls to the ground
And the bird can cry
But it cannot fly
So I cry too

The bird lies in the snow
Watching the others from below
And although I want to salvage it
I am afriad I must admit

Wondering where it was before
Was it lost or on the right way
Either way it doesn't matter
Its dreams are now completely shattered
In its empty eyes
I see my own lies
So I cry too

The bird lies in the snow
Watching the others from below
And although it cannot see
It knows it's time to be free

The snow so white has now turned red
The bird is dead its wings not spread
Stench of disease comes running up
My nostrils frown as I turn to run
So I leave the bird
Alone in snow
Bird in snow
