Memory

Let the blood flow from the wound in the back of your personality

The septic hole of misery, grafted by the years of depression

The endless therapy sessions going on and on one click at a time

The uncomfortable silence between the savior and the desperate

Show the world the cancer growing in the depth of your memory

The righteous soaked in a crimson haze

The never-ending thoughts of suicide pushing you one step closer

The razor blade cold against your open wrist

Force yourself to look at the faded polaroids of frozen past

The old photographs now a rusty brown

The blood mixes with my tears, making the drops into raging pools

And the acid of the sorrow burns my tear filled eyes

Burn the old letters and forgotten scraps of yourself

Create a pit to throw everything you’ve ever held dear

The gasoline-soaked heartaches begging to be destroyed

Then light your world on fire
